Lately, I've been hanging out with the nurses at Dr. Johnson's office more than with members of my own family, and while they're nice people, it's a habit I've decided we've got to kick. They're horrible tattle-tales. Wednesday I took Gavin in for a tiny little cough and wouldn't you know it, they went straight to the doctor and tattled on us. Then he tattled on us to the hospital and said we had to go there for a time-out until we'd learned our lesson about letting Gavin pick up dirty things like pneumonia to put in his mouth. I told them that the next time I saw him messing around with pneumonia I'd make him put it right back where he found it. They finally let us out of time-out today and for good behavior we got to buy a Nebulizer, which they say is for breathing treatments but we think is some kind of space-age transport device. Tonight we're going to try to nebulize ourselves to the swim cube in Beijing so we can meet Michael Phelps. Do you think he'd let us hold some of his medals?

oh melissa...im so glad gavin is feeling better. and if you nebulize to china PLEASE take me with you...im so in love with michael phelps that brian is getting mad at me. im sorry okay but what do you expect?? gorgeous body, amazing swimming..im helpless when he gets in the pool..and im going to check out that family history thing you mentioned when i get back home to rexburg (im in nashville for a week)
I think that Michael Phelps should give Gavin a medal - because he definitely is one little champ!! For being sick, he's quite the little hunk! :)

Melissa, you have such an optamistic attitude. I love how you didn't have anything negative to say about your son's hospitalization and glad that things are getting better.
Wow, another time spent in the hospital. It is fun to see that you can be creative even with hard circumstances. We surely hope he continues to improve and gain strength. We hope you are getting some rest somewhere.

That looks familiar. We used our nebulizar and $350 a month in medicine for the first 4 years of Cades life. The good news is some do grow out of it. Hopefully Gavin has strong lungs and that machine can gather dust in your closet.
just wanted to pass along that i finished reading breaking dawn, and i didn't really like it..i think the first one is still my favorite. this one just brought in too many weird plot twists that left me saying, "what the heck?" So i don't know..i was surprised and a little let down.
lol about the housekeeper thing :) and i LOVE persuasion. im about to start a book that my roommate mary told me is excellent. its called the poisonwood bible. have you read it? the back cover says its about a family that move to africa and what happens to them there. so im excited to start that one. i just read a book in the airport yesterday (i had 8 hours to kill!) called something borrowed, by emily giffen. she has a couple books out. but i was not happy with the plot at all..involves sleeping with your best friend's fiance. who writes stuff like this?! what are you reading next?
